Kenneth Young's "Kāpiti", composed for the Kāpiti Concert Orchestra, was followed by Ravel's moving "Pavane for a Dead Princess".
Our very popular soloist Natalija Sekicki then performed de Beriot's "Scene de Ballet"....

In the second half we played Dvorak's "New World Symphony" with its many familiar tunes.

A note in Memoriam

remembering


Malcolm Collins a long time member of the orchestra, who was still playing earlier this year, died recently.  Apart from being a valued viola player, he was also an accomplished luthier and is much missed.
